AFC Coach Education Panel meeting concludes successfully

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s concerted efforts to raise the quality of coaching across the Continent were further outlined when the AFC Coach Education Panel met virtually on Thursday for its first meeting for the term 2024-25. 

Chaired by AFC Technical Director Andy Roxburgh, the meeting was an excellent opportunity for the panel members from across 15 Member Associations (MAs) to discuss ways of improving coaching standards in Asia.

Participants hail AFC Coach Education Pro License tutor Course 2023

Bangkok: The AFC Coach Education Pro License tutor Course 2023 concluded last Friday, underlining the Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s efforts to provide continuous support to its Member Associations (MAs) to succeed at the pinnacle of world football.

Taking place in the Thai capital city of Bangkok, the course saw Heads of Coach Education as well as Technical Directors from 15 MAs come together and exchange ideas to devise plans for the best way forward regarding the implementation of AFC’s Pro and A License courses across the Continent.

AFC National Coaches Online Session marks one-month countdown to #AsianCup2023

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s countdown to the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ hit a significant milestone when it conducted the AFC National Coaches Online Session on Tuesday with one month to kick-off in Asia’s crown jewel.

Attended by the head coaches, assistant coaches and performance analysts of the participating teams as well as experts from FIFA, the session aimed to brief all 24 sides on the myriad technical aspects that will be the focal point of the AFC’s Technical Study Group during the Continental showpiece.

3rd AFC Coach Education Course 2023 gets underway in Bangkok

Bangkok: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) kicked off the 3rd AFC Coach Education Course 2023 on Monday, further underlining the Confederation’s unwavering commitment to maximise the potential of its Member Associations (MAs). 

Taking place between December 4 and 8 in Bangkok, Thailand, the Course brings together 29 Coach Educators, Heads of Coach Education, and Technical Directors from 15 AFC MAs to collaborate and exchange information on the best ways to deliver the AFC’s Pro and A License courses in their respective associations.

Bangkok: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)'s efforts to maximize the potential of its Member Associations (MAs) marked a significant milestone when the 2nd AFC Women Coach Education Tutors Course 2023 concluded successfully in Bangkok on Friday.

Spanning five days, the course allowed 24 participants from 21 MAs to train and learn under the guidance of internationally-acclaimed coach educators.

2nd AFC Women Coach Education Tutors Course 2023 kicks off

Bangkok: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s resolve to enhance the women’s game on the Continent was further underlined when it kicked off the 2nd AFC Women Coach Education Tutors Course 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand on Monday. 

Taking place from November 27 to December 1, the course will see 24 participants from 21 Member Associations engage in theoretical as well as practical sessions to refine their skills as coach educators in delivering the AFC A and B diploma courses.

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s commitment in raising the capabilities of its Member Associations (MAs) was once again underlined at the recent AFC Coach Education Online session. 

The virtual workshop saw 80 participants from 28 Member Associations come together to discuss the various ways by which coaches in Asia can be equipped with the latest knowledge and tools to ensure the steadfast development of coach educators.

Taking place physically for the first time since the relaxation of COVID-19 related restrictions, the meeting was attended by representatives from 12 MAs.

Kuala Lumpur: The 4th AFC Coach Education Conference officially drew to an end on Thursday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where over 100 coach tutors and Technical Directors from all over Asia convened to discuss the latest developments and best practices in coach education. 

With the theme of “Educating Tomorrow’s Coaches”, the event was marked by insightful lectures, workshops, interactive dialogues – all aimed towards achieving the collective goal of making football the number one sport on the Continent and ensuring the success of Asian teams at all levels on the biggest stages in the world.

Kuala Lumpur: Returning for the first time since 2019, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) kicked off the 4th AFC Coach Education Conference in the Malaysian capital city of Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday under the theme of “Educating Tomorrow’s Coaches”. 

With Coach Education being among the key technical pillars of the AFC in its pursuit of developing football at all levels on the Continent, the three-day long Conference will witness some of the most renowned experts, not only in Asia, but from around the world share their ideas on the best ways to develop coach education programmes in a holistic manner.

Asian teams earn high praise from Jurgen Klinsmann

Kuala Lumpur: With the 2022 edition of the FIFA World Cup concluding only months ago and the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ in the horizon, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) conducted the National Coaches Online Session 2023 to analyse the performance of the Asian teams at the global showpiece. 

The virtual workshop, which featured a star-studded line-up of some of the world’s most celebrated football personalities, including the likes of German legend Jurgen Klinsmann and Switzerland’s Pascal Zuberbuhler, was yet another indication of the Confederation’s determination in ensuring the success of Asian teams on the world stage.
